NWA's
NWA's (North West African meteorites) are found in the Sahara region, but the exact date and place of discovery may not be known. The Sahara is a rich area for meteorite finds due to the dry conditions being favourable for preservation on the ground, including very rare types.
​NWA 3163 is from Morocco or Algeria, a lunar meteorite.
NWA 2200 is from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, a lunar meteorite.
SNC meteorites are from Mars.
